HOW TO MAKE AN OMELETTE | KETO OMELETTE

Do you want to know how to make an omelette? A perfectly flippable omelette every time?! Watch this video!

Here is what you will need:

Eggs

Mushrooms

Onion

Ham

Cheddar cheese

Goat cheese

Salt and pepper

Butter

Sriracha (optional for topping)

Green onion (optional for topping)

Small frying pan

Whisk

Spatula

Knife

Cutting board

Small bowls for your "mise en place"

STEPS

1. SET UP YOUR MISE EN PLACE! Slice your mushrooms, dice your onions and place everything you will be using in separate small bowls. Also aerate your eggs by whisking SIDE TO SIDE! NOT in a circle! This will get the most air into your eggs which will give you fluffy eggs for your omelette.

2. COOK UP THE MIXTURE FOR INSIDE THE OMELETTE! Set your stove to medium/high heat for this part of cooking. Place your non-stick small pan on the stove to heat. Add the garlicans cook for a minute (no oil or butter yet!). Next add the diced onion and cook another minute or two. Now add the sliced mushrooms and cook down for a couple minutes. The mushrooms will release moisture that will help meld the flavors of the garlic, onion, and mushrooms together. Turn down the heat to low and add the chopped ham. Stir together for another minute. Pour the mixture into a bowl and set aside. Turn off heat on stove. To the bowl add your goat cheese and stir to combine.

3. TIME TO COOK THE OMELETTE! Heat your pan on LOW and add about a tablespoon of butter. Roll all around the pan. Next add your whisked eggs and do the... #1 TIP TO MAKING A PERFECTLY FLIPPABLE OMELETTE EVERY TIME!! AND THAT IS... lift the edges and allow the eggs to flow into the exposed pan. Do this all around the pan (you'll have to watch the video to really understand!). When the eggs stop easily and quickly flowing to the edge, you are almost ready to assemble your omelette!

4. ASSEMBLE YOUR OMELETTE! On one side of your pan add a tablespoon of cheddar and some of the omelette mixture. Don't overload with too much! Top with a little more cheddar. When the empty side is done enough to flip, use a spatula to flip it over the mixture side of the omelette.

5. PLATE YOUR YUMMY OMELETTE!! Top with chopped green onion or Sriracha and devour!!
